Here are the results of the Search for the top 16 Junior Officers for 2008 conducted by the Youth Affairs Development Office under the City Mayor’s Office of General Santos City.
The top 3 students are:
- Hennela Jin O. Kwan - Gen. Santos Hope Christian School;
- Romeo S. Martin, Jr. – Notre Dame of Dadiangas University – IBED;
- Kycia Vanelia G. Cue – Gen. Santos Hope Christian School.
These qualifiers will soon vote among themselves whom they want to be their junior city mayor, vice mayor and the fourteen junior city councilors a week from today. They will then take over the official functions of our city officials for a week.
This project has been ongoing for sometime and the selection process always brings out the cream of the top among our young high school students.
To this year’s qualifiers, congratulations and good luck!

34 HS studes qualify for the 1st round of the GSC Junior Officers’ Search October 13, 2008

The Youth Affairs and Development Office, in their yearly search for the GSC Junior Officers, which is a program meant to expose qualified students to the workings of the elected and ex-officio officials of the City Government of Gen. Santos has just released the results of the competitive examinations held last October 7, 2008 at the ABC Building.
Out of 81 applicants from the city’s top private and public secondary schools, only 34 qualified for the 2nd round which is the PANEL INTERVIEW set on October 16, 2008.
